Every time I go back and look at some of my work, I notice something that I did wrong. Though it's hard for someone who is not a photographer to notice those mistakes but they really bother me. For this shoot I did to help my friend start her make up portfolio, I made some rookie mistakes. I can blame them mainly on the fact that I'm working with just one light though. This particular photo shoot will be one of those that I'm going to reshoot just to correct my mistakes. Wait until I load up on more lights and modifiers.

This picture is from one of my earliest work with people. My friend wanted to do a 1950's conceptual shoot and I went for it. On that day I made so many mistake with the camera (lol) yet the shoot still came out as one of my best work.

I have a million pictures to edit. Going through these pictures that I did for my friend, I realize that I need more light and modifiers for my work. I'm starting to see a lot of flaws with shooting through umbrella with one light. As much as I like this picture, I can't help but notice the unevenness of the light on her. One reason for that is because I have to opt out for the 43 inch umbrella instead of the 62 inch one. The wind was too much for the bigger one. If I had a big softbox, I wouldn't have that problem. So next on my list of things to buy is one and another light. Then I can invest on a ring light, a large parabolic reflector, etc.
